Valedictions release debut album 'Pieces'

Auckland rockers Valedictions have released their debut album Pieces today.

Valedictions are Jarrod Ross (Guitar/ Vocals), Cole Goodley (Drums) and Ivan De Los Santos (Bass) and together, they create a distinct mix of gritty rock'n'roll and Indie pop laced with melodic harmonies.

Various themes run throughout this album, from songs of love and hate, lust and secrecy to straight up fun rock tracks.

Co-produced with Olly Harmer at The Lab and mastered by Angus McNaughton, the album is a departure from their previous E.P, with its pared back sound, reflecting the raw energy of the three-piece.

Says front man Jarrod Ross “The core of the album was recorded live and we built on it from there with minimal overdubs. There’s a real mix of songs here and we see each track as its own standalone entity.”

Valedictions are performing at The Wine Cellar this evening to celebrate the release.

Pieces is available from iTunes, Spotify and all good digital outlets. Physical copies will be available from live shows.
