CAIRO KNIFE FIGHT RELEASES NEW SINGLE BEFORE MAY 29 ALBUM

With the announcement of the brand new album , THE COLOSSUS on May 29 also comes CKF's new single ‘Reality Engine’.

‘Reality Engine’ is a song essentially about dealing with our heads, front man Nick Gaffaney explains.
“Trying to stave off mental disintegration. Doing some research about various conditions I was astounded to learn about some truly awful illnesses people live with every day, people for whom the ‘Reality Engine' has literally broken down, come to a standstill …. men and women who can't be sure that they exist, or that the voices that talk to them constantly have their best interests at heart. “

“The song is ... just my attempt to put some thoughts into music and hopefully capture a sense of the urgency and helplessness we can all feel at times,” he says.

Written and recorded over three countries and two continents, the new album THE COLOSSUS differs from previous releases, seeing frontman Nick Gaffaney expanding his writing horizons to include collaborations with some of the best talent on offer within New Zealand and beyond.

This diversity in writing partners has created an album of great subtlety and dynamism while still maintaining that fierce and razor sharp intensity Cairo Knife Fight is known for.
