Andrew Keoghan embraces nature with new video single

Brooklyn-based Auckland new romantic Andrew Keoghan releases a new video single Better Company, filmed during a mystical escape to one of earth’s newest landmasses.

Better Company is a breezy, synth-laden pop song, coated with lush strings and vocal harmonies. The video captures nature’s awe-inspiring power and beauty, conveying a strong love nature (a lot) sentiment.

It was directed by Kris Moyes, known for his innovative music videos for Beck and  Grizzly Bear.  View the video here.

Better Company is the first song from Keoghan’s forthcoming album Every Orchid Offering, due for release in New Zealand, March 2015.

Keoghan's 2011 debut Arctic Tales Divide, was nominated for the Taite Prize and named The New Zealand Herald’s Top Local Album that year.

His follow-up has been recorded in New York and Auckland and the first single points to a more electronic aesthetic. Keoghan further explored his fascination with unconventional love and unexpected encounters.

A classically trained singer and arranger, Keoghan worked closely with Lawrence Arabia on the string elements for his 2012 release, The Sparrow and The Ruby Suns’ Christopher.  Last year Keoghan relocated to Brooklyn, New York.

Keoghan is offering a complimentary download of the single now on Soundcloud.
