With an inimitable sound best described as groove-based music, featuring tasteful soul-infused melodies from a host of guest vocalists, The Means are about to tattoo a teardrop onto the face of New Zealand music. Three outstanding musicians have joined forces to create a project far-reaching in its scope and ambition. The Means is at once a band, a production unit, a burgeoning empire, and a philosophy. All of this will be revealed on November 1st with the release of The Ends EP.
An ethos of uncompromising dedication to quality both in their live and recorded work has seen them foster relationships and collaborate with a wide range of talent for their upcoming release. Vocalists featured areEsther Stephens, Rachel Fraser, Jessie Cassin, and Courtney Meredith. Keys maestro Steph Brown of LIPS, and production guru Aaron Nevezie (The Bunker Studio, NYC) has also lent his talent to the project.
