Led Zeppelin Reissues First Three Albums

Led Zeppelin's guitar guru, Jimmy Page has remastered the band's first three albums and they have been rereleased this week in NZ.

This marks the beginning of a Led Zeppelin reissues campaign that will see the rerelease of all nine of the band's studio albums, each remastered by Page with era-appropriate bonus tracks.

The reissues will be available in a range of digital, CD, vinyl, and deluxe box sets through Atlantic/Swan Song ( Warners NZ), accompanied by previously unreleased bonus tracks including rough mixes, backing tracks, alternative versions, and new songs.

Page has remastered this material before but this time, he says, he has future-proofed it. "Zeppelin vinyl is quite revered in audiophile circles," according to Page. "But if you are in the business of making music to be heard you've got to assess how it is being listened to. In all that time span, there's so many new formats, so much new technology, so I thought the most sensible thing to do was be prepared with super-high-resolution files for whatever may come."
